Austin's 2008 sure was a busy one! In July he made his grand entrance into this world. A moment in time his Dad and I will never forget. In August he was baptized into Christ with family and Godparents by his side. September brought his very first birthday party for his good friend Finn. October was the first time his Mommy embarrassed him -- dressing him up as a turkey for Halloween! In November we all gathered to be thankful for the blessings were given this year. This December he celebrated his first Christmas with all of his family and friends.
Austin, I look forward to spending many more New Year's Eves with you! (Until you're cool to hang out with us anyway!) Thank you for making us a family this year. It's definitely a year we will always hold close to our hearts.

He even lets me play the drums on his head!
Oh my goodness!
It's a train! Just like Daddy's!

We took a picture of the pretty fountain while we waited.
And then there's a shot of the backside of the reindeer with only one antler!
A wedding party stopped by to take pictures on their special day...
We had to wait for a little longer then we thought, so I ended up heading back to the car to feed Austin while Jay waited in line. Shorly after we returned we were finally next! The moment had arrived!
And then my camera went out! I kid you not! I thought the batteries were dead, but come to find out (not until the next day) I had just turned off the LCD screen! So we paid our $14 for one 4x6 and two wallets! At least we can say he visited Santa on his first Christmas. We're not perfect parents, but we try!
