New Tractor!

Put Austin in a tractor and you have a very happy little boy. Put Austin in a NEW Tractor (with a buddy seat!) that his Pa just bought and you have a little boy that can't even contain his excitement! Pa and Austin had been waiting months for their new toy to come in. The day finally came and we couldn't tell who was more excited.
I think Austin is just as proud as Pa! I'm sure pretty sure he'd make us keep it in the garage if it would fit!
We even had to bundle Aubrey up for a quick pick. Looks like Miss Aubrey needs a "dairy coat" like Austin and Pa! Do they make dairy coats in pink?
Austin has already told us that he can drive the tractor all by himself once he's in high school. Anyone want to take bets that Pa lets him way before then??
And they're off...
Lots of work to do... and tons of memories to make!

Valentine's Day 2012 {Aubrey's First}

Valentine's Day brought another celebration for Austin's class. Dad was out of town but we somehow managed to get valentines cards and treats together just in time for the party.
Austin gave each of his classmates a bag of goldfish with a tag that read "Out of all the fish in the sea...I'm glad we swim in the same school!"
Mrs. S. was in Hawaii over the Valentine's Day party. A good time was had by all even if everyone was a bit more rambunctious than normal!
He couldn't wait to get home to show "Miss Aubrey" all of his treats!
Miss Aubrey was having herself a wonderful first Valentine's Day. She got to go out for breakfast with her great aunts and Nana, enjoyed a few naps, ate, and had her pants changed for her -- could Valentine's Day get any better?

Happy Valentine's Day, Big A and Little A!

Go Team (Because I still don't know who played...)

We should probably talk about Super Bowl before February is a thing of the past. We started Aubrey's first Super Bowl at Ryan and Julia's house. We visited for awhile before heading to Nana and Pa's for the rest of the evening. I'm so happy that the commercials are online the next morning because you see very little when you have kiddos!

The rancid Dip - I don't know what I did wrong but it was gross!

Aubrey: 2 Months {2.11.12}

Happy 2 Months, Baby Girl!

At two months, you...

Are sleeping 10 - 12 hours at night. Your last feeding is usually between 7 - 9 and you are almost always up by 7:00 in the morning. A few weeks ago you slept to 9:00 and it was glorious!

Are Taking 6 ounces in a bottle (the few times you take them)
Are eating 5 times a day. Most of your feedings are three hours a part with the exception of the afternoon feeding;  you'll go four hours in the afternoon.

Have already been in a car accident! Minor fender bender but it was still scary for your Mama, Nana and Big Bro!

Are smiling and cooing when people talk to you.

Are still puking a lot after your last two feedings. The doctor wasn't concerned because you gained at your last appointment so I think we'll let it run it's course and see what happens...

Still have awesome hair. We're trying to get it to lay down a little but it honestly has a mind of it's own!
Have had your first round of shots. It think we all cried a little when the nurse gave them to you! You were fine once the initial stick wore off. We left your pants off the rest of the day just to get you all the sympathy we could. The rest of your two-month wellness visit went according to plan. Your stats at 60 days old:
Length: Up from 23 inches to 24 1/2 Inches (95%)
Weight: Up from 11 lbs 1 oz to 12 lbs 9 oz (75%)
Head: Up from 15 inches to 15 3/4 (60%)
(Compared to Big A at two months: 14 lbs 3 oz and 24 1/2 inches)
We'll go back again in April for her four-month wellness visit and another round of shots.
Thank you, Aubrey, for making us a family of four. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter little girl to add to our family!

Six More Weeks of Winter

We've had such a mild winter this year. These pictures were taken on groundhogs day after Phil had seen his shadow. We're all for another six weeks of winter if they are as nice as the first six!
