Look! Brick!!!

After many many hours of driving around and many different choices being shot down (out of stock, doesn't lay right, not enough bricks, etc...) we FINALLY have brick at our house!

And garage doors!

Plaster was also started this week! The plasterer thinks he'll be done in 8 - 10 days so we're looking at a completely plastered house by the end of next week!
The north side of the house (bedrooms, master bath, kid's bath) were complete by the end of the week!

And the rest of the brick supplies were delivered. Brick layer call tonight (Saturday) to say he'd be there at 7:00 am on Tuesday morning to get started. It should take 10 business days to lay all 10,000 bricks.

Plaster board was hung going down the garage steps

Ductwork in the basement...

I had to take this picture because Jay said we would NEVER have a window unit in our new house!

Coming up next week: Paint choices, finalize lights and fireplace marble, more plaster work and BRICK!!! Estimated move in date is Oct 1!

JP = Just Precious!

The big day had finally come! We were taking a second peek at little JP to see if Austin was getting a baby brother or sister. The morning started off with an early 8:30 appointment. Jay had to work and Austin had school so Aunt B got to tag along. I decided it wasn't fair to find out without Jay and Austin...so I came up with a plan to have the ultrasound tech draw a pink or blue heart inside a card. We'd seal up the card until Jay got home from work and Austin would tell us if it was a boy or girl. Little JP didn't want to cooperate at first! Legs were still locked and butt was down, which made for a challenging "money shot." The tech was finally able to get what she was looking for after a trip to the bathroom and a little pep talk from Mom. She drew the appropriate heart, sealed up the envelope and sent us on our way. To say it was a LONG day would be a huge understatement. Jay rolled in around 7:30 and it was finally time for the big reveal!

It's a GIRL!!!!
(This is where I dropped the camera mid picture and said, "What! It is not! Let me look!")
Sure enough! A tiny pink heart! Austin is getting a baby sister!!!
A few pictures for HER second photo shoot...

This is as much of her that they could get in one shot. Head is on the left and her arm in the right.

Sweet little profile!

Face - She's look right at us. Black spots are her eyes.

Her little foot (top right) that's using my bladder as a punching bag

The fact that we're getting a little girl is finally starting to sink in. And it's amazing how quickly her wardrobe has already started to pile up! Now we just need to decide on a name! Austin and Nana have decided that JP now stands for Just Precious!
