Mommy's Little Coworker
The snow forced me to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday. While I love all of my real coworkers, I have one here at home that I can't pass up!

Lookin' For Deals
Austin loves to play with the Aldi's ad each week. Last week he shopped for bathroom fixtures and grapefruits. Tonight he was picking out the best Super Bowl snacks and fleece sweatpants for Dad! 
It didn't have a chance!

6 Month Check Up
Our 6 month check up with Dr. Kellow went really well. Even the shots! Here are Austin's 6 month stats:
Height: 28 1/2" ~ 95%
Weight: 20 lbs 13 oz ~ 90%
Head: 18" ~ 90%
He's gained 2 1/2 inches and over 2 lbs since the 4 month check-up! Time for convertible car seats!
We've been given the go ahead to try "baby food snacks" after he's tried most of the Stage 2 foods. No real table food until 9 months -- we'll see if we can hold out! He can also have watered down juice in a big boy cup!
Foods he's tried so far: carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, bananas, prunes, pears, applesauce, fruit medley, apple/vanilla/granola and apples/bananas/strawberries (Mom's favorite!).
We had to confess that we're still not rolling over. The Dr. said not to worry to much about it since he's already sitting up. Apparently a lot of babies skip rolling because they now have to spend so much time on their backs.
Other accomplishments: passing toys between his hands, reaching for things, and starting to jibber-jabber.
Things we'll be looking for by the next appointment at nine months: babbling and pulling up!

Happy Half Birthday To Austin...

He Sits!
Austin started sitting on his own this past Sunday. We were all surprised and excited! Who needs to roll over when you can sit like a big boy?!?!?

Mr. & Mrs. Godfather - 01.03.09
Austin's Godfather and "Aunt" Julia were married a few weekends ago. We were so happy to help them celebrate. Everything was beautiful and we couldn't be more happy for them. We wish them both a lifetime of happiness! Here are a few pictures from their special day...
