More of our Button's Birthday Celebrations

We celebrated Aubrey's 1st birthday again with Nana, Pa and Aunt B. As you can see, Aubrey got all dressed up for the occasion...
A Cabbage Patch doll from B and Johnny.
We were all surprised to see her baby's middle name is Aubrey!
Pushing her baby around in her new stroller from Nana and Pa.
(keeping it classy in her diaper and one hot pink sock)
A Boo dog from Uncle Jonathan and Julia
Dang tape!
And with that we put our little girl to bed as a baby one last time...

The next morning we were up bright and early to visit Dr. Kellow for her 1-year-checkup. Nothing like a finger prick and three shots on your birthday! She checked out healthy with the exception of a tiny heart murmur. We'll be heading to Children's after the first of the year to make sure it's nothing serious. I was surprised to hear she was just a tiny bit heavier than her big brother was at a year!
Weight: 24 lbs 4 oz
Height: 31 1/4
Head: 18 3/4
The tears were long gone once we got to Eckert's to have breakfast with Nana, B and Austin. There's nothing those fried biscuits can't fix!
That night we celebrated with leftover cupcakes. Kalli and Kyle stopped by with special treats for our birthday girl.

Me and my sweet girl the very minute she officially turned ONE!

Insta-Update: December '12

(**Major blog update going on below this post. Scroll down to catch up on Oct - Early December**)
1. The first week of December was full of "Cute as a Button" birthday prep. There were lots of hiccups along the way (like the cake lady cancelling on me two days before the party), but everything worked out just fine thanks to our wonderful party-planning family!
2. I had a mild panic attack the morning of the party when I realized the hall was decorated for Christmas. We quickly took down all the red ribbons and decorated the tree to match the birthday girl's theme.
3. Happy Birthday to our cute as a button, Aubrey Marie!
4. Another successful party in the books! (On to Pirates...Arrrgh, Austin will be five in just 7 short months!)
5. Austin's first program was the night of Aubrey's party. We were worried he's fall asleep on the alter! We were so proud of the good job he did!
6. It's a boy!
7. Finally letting it all hang out at work. I made it 21 weeks without anyone (but the few I told) finding out I was pregnant.
8. Things got a little crazy in the Disney Princess castle! (who are we to judge?!)
 9. Baby Boy ready to kick of the holiday celebrations at 21 1/2 weeks
10. Everything wrapped for the Kiefer Christmas.
11. Stompeez!
12. Austin and Kalli tracking Santa on Christmas Eve
13. Santa was here! (And this mama was wore out after a dad-less holiday weekend!)
14. Gifts for Big A, Little A and Baby A
15. Whew... Santa did a good job this year! (He told me he was nervous because Austin never asked for anything specific this year.)
16. Five days worth of Christmas leftovers to end the long holiday weekend.

St. Nick's Day & Baby #3 is a...

St. Nick's Day is December 6, right? Due to some discipline issues and Dad working out of town, St Nick didn't visit us until much later on December 10th. We're happy that he waited because he was able to surprise us with the gender reveal of baby #3!

We had just finished having dinner for Aubrey's birthday (more on that later) when the door bell rang. Austin couldn't hide fast enough. Who could it be??

St. Nick, of course! He left behind three bags on the porch. One for each kiddo!

What color is in bag #3?

BLUE!!!

Ms. Muffin is now Stud Muffin!
Our mantle is COMPLETE!

Christmas Program 2 of 2

Austin's second program - his Sunday School program - was the same night as Aubrey's party. We were all very tired but still very excited to see him perform his favorite songs. (especially GO tell it on the mountain!) Looking at these pictures makes me realize what a little man he's become. How can our first baby boy be so grownup already?
Christmas #1 - 2008 - 5 Months Old
Christmas #5 - 2012 - 4 years old
We took a quick family pic before heading to church. Keeping it real with Aubrey already in her PJs! The program started at 7:00 but we were told to get there closer to six if we wanted a good seat. We ended up only a few rows behind the kids but I still watched most of the show through the video camera a mom was holding in front of me.
Here they come!
All of the kids did such a good job telling the story of Jesus' birth. The following picture was taken when they were singing Baby Jesus, We Love You! Each class represented a different animal.
What did the cows at the manger say
To baby Jesus in the hay?
Moo, moo, moo, moo
Baby Jesus we love you.

What did the sheep at the manger say
To baby Jesus in the hay?
Baa, baa, baa, baa
Baby Jesus we love you.

Jesus was born on Christmas Day
Mary laid him in the hay
So little boys and girls may pray
Jesus, Jesus,
Baby Jesus we love you!

What did the donkeys at the manger say to baby Jesus in the hay?
Hee, haw, hee, haw
Baby Jesus we love you!

Jesus was born on Christmas Day
Mary laid him in the hay
So little boys and girls may pray

Jesus, Jesus,
Baby Jesus we love you!
Moo, moo, baa, baa
Hee haw, Jesus

Baby Jesus we love you!

Austin is right in the front behind his brown cow. (We were all laughing that he was probably sleeping back there!)
It was over as quickly as it started. I think he owned it!
