Easter {2013}

The first day of school is a week from tomorrow...but let's talk about Easter, shall we?

We kicked off the Easter celebrations with a trip to Eckert's Fun Farm. It was cold, the kids were crabby and I had a terrible sinus infection and was just a few days shy of 36 weeks pregnant. Needless to say, we may not be going back again next year!
I was miserable on Easter morning but I wasn't going to let that stop the Easter Bunny from making his deliveries!
Austin was itching to get outside to find his eggs. The Bunny hid pink and purple eggs for Aubrey, and red and blue eggs for Austin. Aubrey did a good job finding her eggs but for whatever reason, she would not walk in the rocks that morning.
We came back inside to see what the Easter Bunny had left behind in the kids' baskets.
Later that day we headed up to Nana and Pa's to do some more celebrating. We got in a quick egg hunt before dinner...
Nothing says "Happy Easter" like an armpit shirt...

Our last holiday as a family of four!

Rewind: Aunt B & Johnny's Engagement Party

As of today there are only 229 days until Aunt B and Johnny say I Do. We kicked off the celebrating exactly a year from the big day with an engagement party back in March. Chasing two kids at 35 weeks pregnant didn't allow for many photos that night, but we definitely don't want to forget all the fun we had.
We gifted them with 730 Hershey kisses - one for each of them every day until the wedding. Austin was a big help counting out all those kisses. The pile to the right is all we had left after counting and counting and counting....

Aunt B and Johnny put a lot of thought into their wedding party. They had special gifts for each of us as a way to ask us to be a part of their special day. Here Aubrey agrees to be the best miniature bride she can be!
The party itself turned out adorable with it's shabby-chic country decor. If one thing is true, it's that the Farrar Women know how to put together a party!
So much celebrating is yet to be done before March 22, 2104. We can't wait to be involved in every single second!

“Beginnings are usually scary, endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the middle that counts. So when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up. And it will.”

Rewind: Spring?

Here's a few pictures from a day way back in March that felt more like Spring than winter. We enjoyed the sunshine, play set and bubbles as we anxiously waited for the real Spring to arrive.
Our spring-like fun came to an end when Aubrey decided to munch on some dirt and leaves. A fun afternoon while we were still a family of four!
