Blog Hijack: JP @ 15 Weeks

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple).

The 15th week of J.P.'s pregnancy was definitly not dull.  I started with a mild headache over the weekend. By Monday night it felt like someone was trying to remove my brain. I finally got a hold of the doctor around noon on Tuesday and was advised to head to the Woman's Evaluation Unit at St. John's for observation.

The nurse told me that they'd probably just give me fluids via an IV...hold the phone... I've only had two IVs in my live and neither of them were a pleasant experience... Seriously the worst part of Austin's labor and delivery was getting the IV.....but I put on my brave face and got it done for J.P. It went surprisingly well. Apparently the needles they use for surgery and labor/delivery are bigger than what the used yesterday. Phew.
They administered some magical headache/nausea medicine and my headache was completely gone. They think, due to the color of my urine sample, that the headache was caused from dehydration. Apparently urine is supposed to look like 7-Up and mine looked like tea - fun fact! :) We were good to go only a few hours after we got there. I think the headache medicine made me a little antsy because I couldn't sit still the entire ride home.
Hopefully this is as eventful as this pregnancy gets! Only 5 weeks until we know if J.P. is a boy or girl!
