Our Little House on The Prairie: Basement!

The crew started digging our basement on May 27. The first few days were busy busy as they worked to get the basement dug, rock poured and plastic down before the rain.

 

A few days later footings were poured and concrete forms were put up.

The concrete was poured via a Pumper Truck which was neat for everyone to watch - and a topic of conversations for the locals, I'm sure!

We have the best quality assurance team around. We don't have to worry that any corners will be cut with these too keeping a close eye on every step!

Looks like a real basement now!

 

A few days later we had a basement floor! 

Future bar and bathroom we hope to have someday down the road...

It's so exciting to watch all of the progress each day. We still can't believe this is really happening!! We're going to have our own brand new house by the end the year!
