We made a quick trip to the Zoo to celebrate Austin's last day at school and my last few days of being a pretend stay-at-home Mom. Everyone had a good time - the weather was perfect and the lines were short. I think Austin was more interested in the zoo trucks and the back doors to the exhibits...but whatever floats his boat.
We stopped for a quick treat before finishing our visit and hitting the gift shop on our way out. Both kids were excellent during our trip. Aubrey wanted some of our ice cream soooooo bad.
We stopped at Dad's favorite BBQ restaurant on the way home. Austin called Nana to tell her not about the lions, tigers or bears, but the tractor and planter we passed on the way there. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy!
