Aubrey did well her first night. We stayed up until her 2:00 feeding and then sent her to the nursery for a quick nap before she needed to eat again at 5:00. I sent Dad out for food while I fed her...ended up with TWO turkey sandwiches. I guess it makes up for not getting one when I had Austin! The Bella Baby photographer showed up bright and early the next morning. We were bummed they wouldn't reschedule until after Austin's arrival..but the pictures turned out great. Hospital pics have definitely come a long way in 3 1/2 years. That morning we were visited by Grandma and Grandpa Kiefer, Pastor Koen and Great-Aunt Lynn. Austin and the rest of the crew showed up shortly after lunch.

The first time I nursed Aubrey in front of Austin was a riot. He told me that "you don't get milk from PEOPLE!" And he asked if he drank out of my "shoulder" when he was a baby. Eventually he got it and said "oh, it's like a dairy cow?" Yep, little buddy, mommy feels just like a dairy cow!
That evening we had a nice visit with Francesca and Katie. The plan for the next day was a second hearing test (she had issues with the first) and discharge around 11:00. We were both excited to get home to our baby boy...and our own bed!!
